"Well it's here-the end of one of the most blissful weeks of our lives. There aren't adequate words to express our feelings or describe what we've seen and heard. Within an hour of our arrival, we saw a loon right in front of the dock. He became a daily visitor and nightly concert. Our hair still stands up thinking about it. Boat rides to catch another breathtaking, Godly sunset, every night. As a nature photographer, I am overwhelmed by the incredible beauty all around us. We needed a recovery from our "daily grind" and have found it. We will be back, the only question is-how long can we hold out??"

DIRECTIONS TO LOON SONG COTTAGE
St. Lawrence County Map

FROM SYRACUSE (about 2 hours)
Take I-81 to exit 48, route 342 E to route 11 N to Gouverneur. Right after bridge in Gouverneur, there is a traffic light; at light turn right onto route 58. After about 15 minutes you will see a sign "Edwards 1". Turn left there and go through small town of Edwards.

FROM EDWARDS (about 5 minutes)
At end of town, opposite Post Office, turn left onto Trout Lake Road. After 2 miles you will see a sign "Trout Lake," and the road will come right up along lake and a small marina. At this point, take 2nd driveway (about 1/8 mile past marina). You will see circular signs of all the cottages on this road. Loon Song Cottage is last house on that road, just past tennis court.

FROM ALBANY (about 3 ½ hours)
Take I-87 (Northway) to exit 23 (Warrensburg), then route 28 to Blue Mountain Lake, route 30 to Tupper Lake, route 3 W to Fine, route 58 to Edwards. Follow directions above from Edwards.

FROM CANTON (about 23 minutes)
Take route 11 S for about 9 miles until you see Hermon De Kalb School on right; 1/2 mile past school, you will see a sign for Trout Lake; turn left. *Stay on that road for about 6 miles (after 3 miles you will see a sign "Trout Lake" directing you to go straight at stop sign); 3 miles after that stop sign, you will see another sign "Trout Lake, Edwards", directing you to turn left. After another 3 miles you will see the lake on your left and the sign "Trout Lake" on your right. About 2 miles after the sign, there is a green garage on left. (That is the driveway for Long View) Take the next left (about 1/8 mile past the green garage and 1/8 mile before the lake comes up to the road). Loon Song Cottage is last house, just past tennis court.

FROM OGDENSBURG AIRPORT:
Turn left out of parking lot onto R. 812; follow Rt. 812 until it runs into Rt. 11. Turn left on Rt.11, go only ½ mile and turn right onto Trout Lake Rd. Follow directions above from Canton.
